Turkey: suicide bombers attack the Turkish Parliament in Ankara
Turkey‘s government said on Sunday that two terrorists carried out bomb attacks in front of interior ministry buildings in Ankara; one of them died in the blast, and the other was “neutralized” by authorities there.
Turkish media earlier reported that an explosion was heard near the parliament and ministerial buildings, and broadcasters showed footage of debris scattered on a nearby road.
It was the first explosion in Ankara since 2016 and it occurred on a day when the new session of parliament was about to begin.
