Travis Kelce reacts to Adam Sandler’s comment on his “Romance” with girlfriend Taylor Swift
It is no big secret that Adam Sandler’s family members were big fans of Taylor Swift, and always cheering for her.
On Wednesday during the “New Heights” Podcast, Adam Sandler gushed about his family’s love for the pop icon. He told the Football star (Travis Kelce) that his whole family was thrilled when the news of Travis Kelce dating Swift came out.
“Yes, Look how good they look together! Look how – he is a gentleman! and she is having so much fun” Sandler said. He added that anytime his family saw you (Travis) and Swift laughing together, his family was excited and gave a high-five.
“You got me Sweating over here” Kelce replied.
Sandler explains how much Taylor means to his Family
Earlier in the episode, Sandler explained that Taylor meant so much to his family, He recalled that he was shooting for “That’s My Boy” or “Grown Ups” or something in Massachusetts at that time his kids were small and they together listening to Taylor Swift songs, and it was so good that they end of listening to every song she had sung. It was the first time Sandler ever listened to every song on the record. He used to think that Beetles or Elton John records may be the only records where people listen to every single song in the record but he was wrong.
Travis Kelce appreciated the sentiment and said Swift is the best performer.
Sandler added that he loved what she had to say, every melody, every message, the production, what she meant to young girls, what she guys doing the right thing in life, what she meant to women.
Adam Sandler and his family had the chance to meet Swift several times over the years. How do Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Meet?
The couple’s relationship first started in July 2023, The NFL star was attending the Erasa Tour. He was seen watching the show from his private box and trading friendship bracelets with fans, he even planned to give one of the bracelets to Taylor Swift, the bracelet had his phone number on it, However, he was not able to give it to her. In November he retried it again but this time he got help from people close to Swift including Swift’s family to get her attention.
Travis thought that Taylor might hate him for this but it went well. The couple has appeared together in many events now from SNL, and Eras Tours to NFL games, and their love for each other is increasing with each passing day.
Is Travis Kelce in Happy Gilmore 2?
Sandler revealed that while they were writing the story six months ago, they would often talk about Travis Kelce playing the role of his son. Travis who earlier this year admitted that he was a huge fan of Sandler and would like to work with him said that he considers his golf skills up to par to potentially play Happy Junior.
“I think I’ve got the swing down,” he said, referring to Happy’s signature drive. “I was there the other day and it was the day after you went on Fallon and told everybody and I was like, man, you know what, I have to do a ceremonial one. And I did it so well. And it felt so good.”
Sandler hasn’t always been so lucky in that regard, though. “I have to say, when I’m doing Happy Gilmore, I get it right about once in four,” he joked. “I make my own cuts.”
Previously, During an interview with Jimmy Fallon on the set of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Sandler confirmed that Kansas Chiefs will be appearing in “Happy Gilmore 2”. He added that they had something nice for Kelce.
According to Sandler, fans will meet a “different” Happy Gilmore at the start of the sequel. “It’s a mess when you meet Happy,” he explained. “And then somehow we get his life back on track.”
