Tom Brady and John Legend explain how growing up with a famous father affected their kids.
“[My kids] take [my fame] well. They take it easily. They are already used to it. They know their mom and dad are famous,” Legend, 44, said on the Tuesday, Dec. 26 episode of SiriusXM’s Let’s Go. With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray. “They know, you know, their friends watch their mom and their dad on TV.”
Legend shared that he’s happy to be a coach on The Voice because it keeps him closer to his wife, Chrissy Teigen, and their four children: Luna, 7, Miles, 5, Esti, 11 months, and Wren, 5 months. ,
“They see billboards with my face on them for The Voice or my residency in Las Vegas or something and they’re addicted,” Legend explained. “My son, he is my biggest fan. So he really listens to my music, that’s all. “I think he’s proud of me and my music and he’s proud that people like what I do and what my wife does.”
Tom Brady, 46, couldn’t imagine how a child dealt with being the center of attention, especially since he grew up a “normal kid.” The former football player shares his 14-year-old son Benjamin and 11-year-old daughter Vivian with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen and his 16-year-old son Jack with his ex Bridget Moynahan.
Brady explained, “As a parent, I think it’s a challenge. We have unique challenges for our kids. We try to teach them the right values and so on.” “But at the same time, I feel like when I go out with my kids, I really want to be with them, you know?” And I make it clear to people: ‘I’m sorry, I’m just here enjoying time with my family, you know?’
Tom Brady admitted that he loves attending his children’s various events but he also feels guilty about missing out on his children’s special moments.
“And if I’m in a game for my son, and I love doing it, but, you know, a lot of times the attention gets on us,” he said. “I don’t want to take moments away from them, because it’s such an important part of their lives and their maturity.”

The Super Bowl champion also shared that he teaches his children that “everything has a price.”
“The reason we have such fun holidays, go to school and people help us (is because) we have to deal with some things that are different than everyone else,” he said. “So, life isn’t a straight arrow for anyone. Everyone will take different turns in trying to be a great dad.,”
