Taylor Swift and Her ‘BFF’ Ed Sheeran Surprise Fans on Eras Tour in London
Taylor Swift is known for surprising her fans in every possible way. The singer did the same when she and her longtime friend, Ed Sheeran, performed together during her Eras Tour show held at Wembley Stadium.
By now, fans of Swift and Sheeran are well aware of the deep bond of friendship the artists share with each other, so it surely made the entire fan experience wholesome. The most recent collaboration between them took place in 2022 when Taylor Swift lent her vocals to the remix of Sheeran’s song, The Joker and the Queen.
Ed Sheeran joined the pop star and sang a few songs. The duo performed a medley of their collaborations as they took over the stage with their spontaneity and enthusiasm. Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift performed their duets “Everything Has Changed” and “End Game” during the surprise song section.
Sheeran supported the singer’s soulful singing with the trusty guitar he had on hand. Swift also played hers during their joint performance. Also read – Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars release their new song, Die With a Smile
Taylor and Ed celebrate their friendship on stage
While Introducing Ed to her fans, Taylor Swift said during her concert: “This is one of my best friends in the world to the point where I feel like he’s a second brother of mine. We toured together on the Red Tour. Every time I do the ‘Red’ part of this show, I think about the memories we’ve made. And now he’s someone who plays Wembley every week. This is a normal thing for him. And he works so hard, and he’s on tour right now and he’s probably really tired. But he wanted to come and play for you guys and do this for all of us, so give it up for Ed Sheeran.”
This concert was the first time she performed The Eras Tour show since she cancelled concerts in Vienna last week due to a terrorist threat. Two people have been arrested over the threat to the Austrian capital.
It is also the first time she has been in the UK since last month’s attack, in which three children were killed at a Swift-themed dance class. The singer also made no mention of these attacks during her concert, but reports suggest she has been in private contact with the families of the dead children.
