Sony Announced the “Venom The Last Dance” release date
The Tom Hardy-led Venom franchise has announced its release date. Venom The Last Dance is the upcoming American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics‘ beloved character Venom produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and distributed by Sony Pictures.
Venom The Last Dance will be the new addition to the Venom Franchise – Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). The film is being written, co-produced and directed by Kelly Marcel, who she co-wrote with Tom Hardy, who reprises his roles as Eddie Brock and Venom, and Works as a producer. Marcel has also written the famous Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) starring Dakota Johnson and the famous Disney movie Cruella (2021) starring Emma Stone.
The first two “Venom” films – Venom released in 2018 and directed by Ruben Fleischer and the sequel “Let There Be Carnage”, released in 2021 and directed by Andy Serkis grossed a combined $1.3 billion at the box office. Also, read – X Men 97 creator Beau DeMaio has been fired from the series.
Hardy revealed in August 2018 that he was signed to star in the third Venom film, and development had begun by December 2021, following the release of the second film. Marcel and Hardy were writing the script by June 2022, and Marcel was set to direct that October. Filming began in Spain in late June 2023 but was halted the following month due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Filming resumed in November after the strike ended.
Hardy announced on Instagram in November that production on the film proposed as the final film in the series had resumed after taking a break due to the actors’ strike last year. The project was initially planned for release in June 2024 but was later shifted to November due to a labour stoppage.
In his November post, Hardy called the film “The Last Dance” and said that the work “when you love what you do and when you know you have great material and support from all sides, of A great team.”
On Tuesday Sony Entertainment announced that Venom The Last Dance, will premiere on October 25, 2024.
