Rihanna wants to “Keep it Simple” for the MET GALA 2024
The Met Gala 2024, the biggest fashion day, is just around the corner, and just days before rolling out the red carpet on the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rihanna has shared her plans for the annual fashion parade.
Over the years, the Grammy winner has been one of the regular attendees of the event and has made sure to turn heads with her amazing looks, which managed to earn her place in the book of Met Gala historical looks. However, this year, the mother of two plans to keep it simple.
“I’m really keeping it simple this year,” the 36-year-old singer and beauty mogul told Extra on the red carpet.
She added, “I think it will depend on my makeup and my hair.” “We want to play with it, but I don’t know what I’ll do with it.”
Elaborating further, Rihanna said that the two gowns she chose for the event were “much simpler than any gowns I have worn before.”
Rihanna’s Met Gala choices often remain the talk of the town and a hit on social media. Last year, the star graced the Karl Lagerfeld-themed red carpet in Valentino’s Chanel-inspired, camellia flower-covered hooded gown with a long skirt train. She wore fingerless gloves over the dress in homage to Lagerfeld.
Rihanna, who is now a mother of two children RZA and Riot Rose, revealed that her fashion style has changed a lot since becoming a mother. Speaking on the same, the Cartel singer said, “When you become a mom, your style changes from bullshit, to let’s see what fits I’ll be a bad bitch today.” Also read – Taylor Swift and Jay-Z Ties Become the Most Billboard 200 No.1 Albums by a Solo Artist
Rihanna added, “You have to remind yourself sometimes that you’re still in their.”

The annual charity event, which benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, will take place on May 6, 2024, in New York City. The theme of this year’s Fashion event is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”, with the dress code being “The Garden of Time” by J.G. Ballard short story.
The night’s hosts are Bad Bunny, Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez and Chris Hemsworth. Other expected guest lists for this year include names like Kim Kardashian, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Chris’s wife Elsa Pataky, Jennifer Lopez’s husband Ben Affleck, Taylor Russell, Jamie Dornan, Greta Lee, Josh O’Connor.
Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce “passed the invitation” to attend that lavish party. Swift also has an Eras Tour concert stop in Paris three days later, on May 9. While Dua Lipa has not publicly confirmed her attendance, she has served as co-chair of the 2023 ball.
Timothée Chalamet, who attended his first and only ceremony in 2021, rocked a white getup designed by Haider Ackermann.
He served as co-chair that year and made a case for Converse sneakers on the red carpet. It’s possible he could return for the 2024 fundraiser amid rumours of his romance with Kylie Jenner.
