Renegade Nell – A story of Magic, Murder and Intrigue
Renegade Nell, formally known as The Ballad of Renegade Nell, is the latest project from Happy Valley screenwriter Sally Wainwright, who blends fairy tale, fantasy and adventure in a new action-packed series that will be coming soon to Disney+.
Wainwright previously specialized in serious crime dramas such as Scott & Bailey and Last Tango in Halifax.
Synopsis of Renegade Nell
A story that combines murder, magic and intrigue. Set in England in 1705, we follow a woman named Nell Jackson who finds herself on the run and wanted for a murder she didn’t commit. Also read – Maamla Legal Hai: Everthing you need to know
Thankfully, she gets help from her dear friend Billy who helps him escape from the authorities to clear her name. Nell realizes that fate has not misled her as she will cross paths with Queen Anne and play a role in the power struggle being played out on the European battlefield.
Cast of the Series
Ben Taylor, Amanda Brocchi and MJ Delaney are directing the Renegade Nell. The cast includes Louisa Harland, Joely Richardson, Adrian Lester, Nick Mohammed, Craig Parkinson, Florence Keen, Alice Kremelberg, Jake Dunn, Pip Torrens and Bo Bragason.
Release Date and Trailer
The series is set to be release on 29th March, 2024.
