Peaky Blinders Movie shooting will start in September – Steven Knight
Peaky Blinders producer Steven Knight has confirmed when the upcoming film (Peaky Blinders Movie) will begin shooting, revealing an initial timeline of production and the scale of the film. The original series follows a crime family led by Tommy Shelby from the late 1910s to the early 1930s. Season 6 ended the show in April 2022, making it the final season until the finale. However, it was confirmed that the series would have a proper finale in the form of a film.
When asked by NME, “How far along are you in the Peaky Blinders movie?” Knight responded, “It’s going to happen. It is going to happen this September. I am just giving the final touches, which will continue till the day before the shooting starts. But we are there. We’ve arranged everything, we’ve got all the necessary commitments, we’re ready to go.
“I think the movie is going to be a step forward once again, and it will be great for Peaky fans to be able to gather in one place and see it. When will the film be released?
The release date of the Peaky Blinders Movie is expected to be between 2025 and, at the latest, 2026.
Keeping in mind that filming will take place in September and there is usually a year between filming and release, we can consider a release in 2025. However, everything will depend on the schedule and marketing needs of the film.
How will you make a comeback in films?
As stated by Knight, Cillian Murphy will return to play the role of Thomas Shelby. The rest of the Shelby family is also expected to return with them, including Sophie Rundle (Ada Thorne) and Paul Anderson (Arthur Shelby), as well as Tommy’s son Conrad Khan (Duke).
