Commissioner of Railway Safety has summitted a Report on the Odisha train accident cause, Pointing out the fault in signaling and Telecommunication Department
The Commissioner of Railway Safety( CRS) has submitted its report on Odisha train accident cause that claimed over 290 lives in June this time. The report refocused out setbacks in the signaling and telecommunication department.
Speaking to PTI, elderly officers said,” Railways won’t make public the CRS inquiry report on the Balasore triadic train accident to insure that there’s no” influence or hindrance” with the ongoing CBI inquiry in the matter.” officers said,” Though there’s no sanctioned evidence, but some sources said that the CRS in its report stated that the accident passed due to mortal error on the part of the on- duty officers of the Signaling and Telecommunication department as well as the business department.”” Added.
Sources said the officers failed to follow the standard operating procedure laid down for train operation. ” We’ll not expose anything on the CRS report as another independent CBI inquiry is underway. It’s to be assured that this report doesn’t impact or intrude with the other reports in any manner. We’ll take cognizance of both the reports and make a report” Take a holistic assessment of the incident and also take whatever way are necessary,” said a elderly functionary.
South Eastern Circle CRS AM Chaudhary, who’s probing the accident, submitted his report to the Railway Board on Thursday. Top officers of the board declined to note on the report. The officers also reminded that CRS generally files an interim report before the final report within a week of any accident, this time it has submitted a report.
Meanwhile, the Railroads has transferred five top officers of the South Eastern Railway, under whose governance the accident took place. On June 2, 293 people were killed and over 1,000 were injured when three trains collided in Odisha’s Balasore quarter. The Shalimar- Chennai Central Coromandel Express at full speed entered the passing circle rather of the main line near Bahnaga Bazar station and rammed into a stationary goods train. On an conterminous line, the Bengaluru- Howrah Superfast Express collided with the derailed trainers of the Coromandel Express, derailing some of its bugbears.
