Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron bring excitement to their latest romantic comedy.
Netflix released the first trailer for A Family Affair which is set to be released on May 29. The film stars Joey King as Zara, the daughter of a Widow (Nicole Kidman). Zara works as an assistant to movie star Chris Cole. Zac (Efron, 36) is romantically involved with Zara’s mother.
Zara quits working for Chris because she doesn’t like Chris’ demanding nature, arrogance, and attraction to women, which leaves her even more shocked and disappointed when she learns that her former boss has an affair with her widow’s mother.
The rom-com’s trailer perfectly displays the fun discomfort of this unusual situation, with one notable scene showing Zara entering an intimate moment between Kidman and Efron’s characters. Zara screams on seeing her mother and boss kissing – and then, when she tries to escape, she accidentally hits the door frame. Also read – Chrissy Teigen Not Able to Eat Spicy Food After Pregnancy
Nicole Kidman shares Big Little Lies season 3 update
Nicole Kidman has updated fans on the upcoming third season of Big Little Lies.
The 56-year-old actor starred and serves as executive producer in the hit HBO adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s thriller, appearing alongside fellow executive producers Reese Witherspoon, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, and Shailene Woodley.
The series debuted in 2017 and follows the lives of a group of wealthy parents in Monterey, California, whose perfect lives are thrown into disarray when someone is murdered in their community.
Speaking to Witherspoon for a video interview with Vanity Fair, Kidman admitted she has already thought “a lot” about the highly anticipated third season of the Emmy-winning HBO series.
“I was excited,” she said. “We have to be quiet. There’s a whole thing about how you shouldn’t talk about something until you’ve done it because if you talk about doing it, it’s the dopamine hit you get from doing it and you feel like you’ve done it. It’s a scientific study.”
However, Nicole Kidman did reveal that Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty is working on the sequel. “We’re moving quickly. Liane’s delivering the book,” she said. “We’re in a good position.”
Adapted for the small screen by David E. Kelley, Big Little Lies won numerous awards, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Kidman and the second season arrived in 2019 when Meryl Streep joined the star-studded cast as Kidman’s on-screen mother-in-law.
Kidman said of the first show: “I loved Big Little Lies because it came at a point in my life when I had kids and thought I was going to retire.
