Nick Cannon revealed why he insured his private parts for $10 million
Nick Cannon is opening up about his decision to financially protect his most valuable personal asset – his reproductive organs. Over the weekend, the masked singer and father of 12 enjoyed a day in the sun celebrating his son Legendary’s 2nd birthday.
Cannon – who shares Legendary with Bre Tiesi – spoke at the party after playing with his young son at a house with friends and family.
During the conversation, Cannon, 43, referred to his latest announcement, which he made earlier last month, that he had insured his testicles for $10 million.
“I had to secure my most valuable assets,” Cannon said with a laugh. “Because you hear about all these different celebrities who have secured their legs… so I was like, ‘Hey, well, I’ve got to secure my most valuable body part.’

Cannon took to social media last month to announce his plan to financially preserve his private parts. “It’s official! I have the most valuable balls in the world!” he wrote on Instagram at the time.
The revelation was linked to his partnership with the soap and cosmetics company Dr. Squatch. “Instead of listening to the haters and getting a vasectomy, Nick is doubling down on his valuable family jewels and protecting his productive couple (and the super sperm inside them) so they can keep reproducing for years to come.” A press release for the brand’s brow care line was read at the time.
While Cannon emphasized that providing reproductive organs was the real deal, he told ET on Monday that this does not imply plans to expand his family in the near future. “[I’m] just making sure nothing goes wrong,” he told the paper. Nick Cannon’s Family
Cannon is the father of 12 children. He shares son Legendary Love, 20, with Bre Tiesi, twins Moroccan and Monroe, 12, with ex-wife Mariah Carey, twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, 2, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, 16, with Abby De La Rosa and boys Golden Sagon, 7, and Rise Messiah, 18 months, and daughter Powerful Queen, 3, with Brittany Bell.
He is also father to daughter Onyx Ice, 18 months, with LaNisha Cole and daughter Halo Marie, 15 months, with Alyssa Scott. (Cannon and Scott’s late son, Zen, died of cancer in December 2021 at the age of 5 months.)
“He does it really well,” Tiesi, 33, told ET of Nick Cannon’s ability to fool around with his large chest. “I think that’s why nobody listens to us because we’re all happy. We all make it work. He’s such a good person, really, and he really cares and he wants to be there for his family and he will never spoil anything.”
She added: “It makes it easier when you do things because you know he’s going to make an effort and show up.”
Nick Cannon has often shared photos of his time with his little ones on social media, including their vacation visits.
