Netflix “CANCELED” ‘Cobra Kai’ creators “OBLITERATED” Series after one season

Netflix has canceled the action-comedy Obliterated series after one season. Its new finale, which aired on November 30 along with the remaining episodes of Season 1, is now its series finale.

Inspired by Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald, and Hayden Schlossberg (along with Cobra Kai creator Dina Hillier), Obliterated follows an elite Special Forces team tasked with thwarting a deadly threat to Las Vegas. Only after their debauched celebration does the party discover that the bomb they had defused was a fake. Now the drug-addled team is forced to fight their weaknesses, overcome their problems, find the real bomb, and save the world. When asked about the possibility of a second season, Hurwitz, Heald, and Schlossberg told TVLine that although “nothing has been promised,” they are “hopeful the world will respond to the show as we hope.”

Eps said at the time, “We fall in love with our characters and everything we write, and the movies we’ve written throughout our careers have even had sequels.” “As long as there are bad people in the world, there’s still a chance for our team to come together and party and hopefully save the day.”
