Meghan Markle completes filming of two Netflix shows
Meghan Markle has reportedly wrapped filming a new cooking series for Netflix. This was part of Prince Harry and his five-year, $100 million deal with the platform.
A filming permit obtained by the Daily Mail revealed that the show was filmed in at least two locations. While the former was a premium wholesale florist a 10-minute drive from Montecito, California, the latter was a $5 million property located two miles from the $11 million mansion Meghan shared with Harry. Some famous people from the cooking world are believed to have worked on the show, including Michael Steed.
About Meghan Markle’s next Netflix project
Although the former actor has finished filming, the show still does not have a title. The release date of the show is also not decided yet. However, Markle had previously mentioned on her official website that the non-fiction show will “celebrate the pleasures of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship.”
The upcoming show is curated by Markle in association with The Intellectual Property Corporation, which is part of Sony Pictures Television.
The Duchess of Sussex was recently spotted by a TikTok user filming in a park in Beverly Hills. Although the show would require a few more shoots, the industry insider speculated that the footage that was posted on TikTok had nothing to do with the show’s local project because the team had “got everything” they needed. About the Netflix deal between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
In 2020, Meghan Markle and her husband signed a deal with the streaming giant worth $100 million that will expire at the end of 2025. After this, the first project to premiere on Netflix was the explosive documentary series Harry & Megan in 2022.
It told the detailed story of why the couple left the royal family in 2020 and settled in California, which became one of Netflix’s most-streamed docuseries at the time.
Then, in 2023, Prince Harry launched his documentary series Heart of Invictus, which looks at six athletes participating in the 2022 Invictus Games, an international athletic competition developed by the Prince to promote sports-based healing for members of the injured service.
In April of this year, the couple’s Archewell Productions announced two upcoming non-fiction projects on Netflix and this is anticipated to be one of them. The other was apparently filmed during the US Open Polo Championship, which will allow the public a never-before-seen look into the world of professional polo.
