Meadow Walker separate from her husband
Meadow Walker, daughter of late “Fast & Furious” star Paul Walker, has announced her separation from husband Lewis Thornton-Allan after just two years of marriage.
Taking to social media on Wednesday night the 25-year-old said the split was a “joint decision” as she shared a joint statement on behalf of the former couple.
“After three wonderful years of marriage, we have reached an agreement to amicably separate,” the model wrote in an Instagram post shared with her 4 million followers.
“This is truly a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our privacy wishes. We maintain mutual love and respect and will continue to support each other.”
The couple married on a beach in the Dominican Republic in October 2021.
Meadow Walker’s godfather and her father’s “Fast & Furious” co-star, Vin Diesel, walked her down the aisle at her home.
Paul, best known for playing Brian O’Conner in the action franchise, died in a car accident in November 2013. He was 40 years old.
Meadow, the only daughter, was only 15 years old at the time of the tragic accident.
The model previously spoke to Vogue about her marriage and said the pandemic has forced the couple to think outside the box when it comes to wedding planning.
“The pandemic affected our plans,” she told Vogue in 2021. “Louis’s family couldn’t attend. “Many close friends we consider family were also unable to attend due to travel restrictions.”
It was Meadow’s aunt, Paloma, who helped set the wedding planning in motion.
“She did an incredible job,” she told the outlet. “We couldn’t have imagined it being more perfect and personal and honestly it was easy and simple. Lewis and I knew exactly what we wanted from the beginning. “It was a very intimate celebration.”
In August 2021, Meadow Walker confirmed her engagement to the actor with an Instagram video showing off her ring while swimming.
It is unclear how long the couple had been dating before their engagement, but they became Instagram official in July 2021.
