James McCaffrey best known for Max Payne voice died

James McCaffrey, who voiced Max Payne in the popular video game franchise and starred in television shows like Rescue Me, has died, according to his agent. He was 65 years old. McCaffrey’s talent agent, David Elliot, confirmed Monday that the New York native died Sunday surrounded by family and friends.

His wife, actress Rochelle Bostrom, said that he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and ultimately died from the disease.

News of McCaffrey’s death began to spread through a post from “Entourage” star Kevin Dillon, who honored his friend with a photo and a memory of the two.
