Linkin Park announces first tour since singer Chester Bennington’s death
Linkin Park is back on the road for its first tour since the death of singer Chester Bennington, and some new faces are joining the mix.
The Grammy-winning rock band, which is gearing up for the release of its eighth album “From Zero,” will embark on the From Zero World Tour this fall, Live Nation announced Thursday. The group, which is comprised of Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn along with its two new members Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain, will also embark on a six-date stadium tour, stopping in Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul and Bogota.
The stadium tour is set to kick off Sept. 11 with a show at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Exclusive fan club pre-sales begin Friday, and tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday.
According to a press release, Shinoda, Delson, Farrell, and Hahn “quietly began to come together again over the past few years” and “rather than ‘try to restart the band,’” they worked with numerous musicians and “found a special affinity with Armstong and Brittain.”
On the new era, Shinoda said in a statement, “Before Linkin Park, our band’s first name was Xero. The title of this album refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we are currently undertaking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about the past, present, and future, embracing our signature sound, yet new and full of life. It was made with deep appreciation for our new and old bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years and excited for the journey ahead.” Also, read – NightBitch starring Amy Adams where she slowly turns into a Dog – Cast, Plot, Release Date

And no matter how I feel, I always find myself struggling with certain patterns of behaviour.”
Despite his tragic death, Bennington was honoured with many celebration-of-life services. On October 27, 2017, his Linkin Park bandmates hosted the tribute concert, Linkin Park and Friends: Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington, at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

How Did Likin Park Get its Name?
The band Linkin Park got their name from a park in Agoura Hills, California, called Lincoln Park. The band’s original name was “Xero,” but they changed it to “Hybrid Theory” before eventually settling on “Linkin Park” due to a legal dispute over the name “Hybrid Theory.” Mike Shinoda, one of the band’s founding members, suggested the name change to “Linkin Park” as a way to maintain some continuity with the band’s identity while still being distinct. The band liked the name because they felt it captured the idea of a place where different elements and sounds come together.
What Makes Linkin Park Unique?
The band had an intimate and emotional aspect to it that was striking. Bennington’s lyrics and vocals, combined with hip-hop and heavy guitars, were something the rock genre was frankly unfamiliar with. While their debut record was certainly edgy, there was no swearing or profanity. The lyrics focused more on an internal struggle than external aggression. Through their songs, they were able to connect with people, especially teenagers.
