Lady Gaga premieres the film ‘Chromatica Ball’ at the Los Angeles premiere
Lady Gaga premiered the special Gaga Chromatica Ball concert in her signature style Thursday night, with a premiere screening in Los Angeles for her fans.
The concert film follows Gaga during the Los Angeles stop of her 2022 Chromatica Ball Tour, as she takes over Dodger Stadium with her new songs and biggest hits songs from her 2020 album Chromatica. It was Gaga’s first stadium tour and was composed for only 20 dates, starting in Germany in July 2022 and ending two months later in Miami.
At the premiere event, Gaga, who changed quickly after the red carpet into a black bodysuit with a sparkly mask, sat down for a brief Q&A with Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans before the screening. Guests were told in advance that it would be a standing-room-only event and she was encouraged to dance during the film.
“I am incredibly lucky to be here with all of you. “I’m so excited,” Gaga told the crowd. “This was such a special moment. This tour took place when people didn’t believe you could tour [amid the pandemic] and stadiums worldwide were full and sold out, everyone dressed up, dancing and singing. “I’m so excited for all of you to see up close what we did.”
The star revealed during the chat that she “did five shows with COVID” and explained: “I shared it with everyone on my team. I told him, ‘I don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable at work and you don’t have to perform and you don’t have to work that day, but I’m going to do the show’ because I don’t want to disappoint all the fans. And the way I saw it too is like all the fans were putting themselves in danger every day by coming to the show.”
Lady Gaga also talked about the show’s unique fashion, set design, and choreography (joking, “This was the first tour I ever did on flats”) and that “Babylon” is the most difficult song to perform. Also read – Park Seo Joon’s agency responds to dating rumours with American actress Lauren Tsai
On choosing to release this specific tour as a concert film, Lady Gaga explained: “I felt like the Chromatica Ball was a moment where I took myself to the next level and it was something worth documenting and seeing for the people I love. It’s not that I didn’t love my other tours. “I’m sure we can all relate to that feeling that when you feel personally proud of something, it’s really different than when everyone around you feels that way.”
“I think personal passion is a private experience,” she continued. “I’m sure there are many tours and albums I’ve been a part of that everyone would have loved to see up close, and I feel sorry for those who didn’t get to see it. But I hope you know that what you’re about to see, I stand by it all.”
