Lady Gaga confirms engagement to Michael Polansky at 2024 Olympics
Lady Gaga has recently given an Olympics-sized update about her personal life.
The 13-time Grammy winner is engaged to her longtime partner Michael Polansky. During a conversation with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 28, Gaga introduced the politician Polansky, calling him her “fiancé.” The singer, who will perform during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Games, first sparked her engagement rumour in April.

In April, the singer was spotted flaunting a large diamond on her ring finger, sparking speculation that she is ready to get married.
Although it did not come in the form of an official announcement, her recent revelation has clarified the ongoing rumours. In a TikTok shared by French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, Gaga can be heard calling Polansky “my fiancé” when introducing him to Attal.
The Bloody Mary singer, who has been engaged twice before, appeared at the Paris 2024 Olympics and sang “Mon truc en plumes” in tribute to French ballet dancer and singer Zizi Jeanmaire. Prior to her relationship with Michael Polansky, she was engaged to Chicago Fire’s Taylor Kinney and talent agent Christian Carino, although both engagements did not last long. Gaga and Polansky were first romantically linked in 2020 when they were photographed kissing at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas. Just weeks later, they took their relationship public during a PDA-filled weekend in Miami for Super Bowl 2020.
At the time, Lady Gaga shared a photo on Instagram showing the two of them hugging on a yacht, and wrote, “We had so much fun in Miami.” Lady Gaga later revealed that the couple quarantined together during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. The insider added that they stayed at Gaga’s home and grew close.
In January 2021, Polansky was with Gaga when she was invited to perform at President Joe Biden’s inauguration in Washington, D.C.
Later that same year, Gaga made a rare comment about their relationship in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter after getting back her dogs Koji and Gustav, who were taken during an attack on her dog walker. “My dogs and the man I love are my whole life,” she told the outlet, referring to Polansky. The pair, who share a passion for charitable work, also love working together in their philanthropic endeavours.

In October 2023, following the House of Gucci star’s surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live, the pair stepped out at the cast afterparty, where they were seen holding hands as they arrived.
