Kourtney Kardashian shares baby Rocky’s rare lung problem
Kourtney Kardashian has finally revealed the terrifying turn of events that led her to undergo emergency fetal surgery.
The 45-year-old welcomed her first child with her husband Travis Barker on November 1, 2023. However, just weeks before welcoming Rocky Thirteen Barker, Kourtney had to undergo an “urgent fetal surgery.”
In late summer 2023, Kourtney was suddenly hospitalized. She has now spoken openly about the surgery and has revealed for the first time the reason for it. On the latest episode of The Kardashians, she said: “A couple of months ago, we had a scary scare and I had to have emergency fetal surgery.”
In another shot, Kourtney Kardashian is seen in a hospital bed after the operation. Speaking about the video, she divulged: “Baby Rocky had to undergo fetal surgery for fluid in his lung and it is an infrequent condition that he had, but it lucky that we caught it. Thank God for the success of the Surgery, the truth is I am very grateful, I have no words.”

“The fluid in his lungs started to return,” the 45-year-old woman explained in a confessional. “Then I watched this documentary called Heal, which was about the power of positive thinking and how our thinking can really affect our health.”
The Poosh founder was inspired to change her perspective and hope for the best.
“I started talking to the baby every day and saying my prayers,” Kourtney Kardashian continued. “After that mindset change, the liquid completely disappeared and we had no problems.”
Still, Travis was worried about Rocky until he was born.
As they headed to the hospital, which was documented on the Hulu show, he told his wife, “I don’t want him to leave early. I want to make sure his lungs are perfect, that everything is perfect.”
And in the end, her son was born on November 1st.
“It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of,” Kourtney said on the show. “Everything we’ve been through to get to this moment seems so surreal.”
And she added: “I’m very happy in my happy baby bubble and in love with Rocky.”
