Knuckles Series Sonic The Hedgehog”Spin-Off”

With the success of 2020’s ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ and 2022’s sequel ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ (with combined box office earnings of $725.2 million so far), Paramount naturally wants to keep the cash train running at high speed by the Upcoming Knuckles series.

Sonic the Hedgehog was one of the first video game adaptations to take the world by storm. The film got off to a somewhat rocky start, with criticism of its design and the bizarre use of “Gangster Paradise” in the initial trailer. Still, upon the film’s release fans got to see the blue blur come to life in a way we’d never seen before. Fast forward a few years later, and now we’ve got the fantastic Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and confirmation of a third movie.

The first trailer for the spinoff series of “Sonic the Hedgehog” films was released Thursday morning. In “Knuckles” Idris Elba returns to voice the grumpy echidna of the same name, who is introduced as Sonic’s enemy-turned-friend in the second “Hedgehog” entry.

Jeff Fowler, director of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, directed the TV series Knuckles. The cast of the Knuckle series includes Adam Pally, Idris Elba, Edi Patterson, Scott Mescudi, Julian Barratt, Rory McCann, Paul Scheer, Christopher Lloyd, Cary Elwes, Stockard Channing, and Ellie Taylor.
