Who is Katy Perry working with?
Katy Perry is facing criticism for working with music producer Dr. Luke again… Perry was dragged into a legal battle between Kesha and Luke nearly 7 years ago.
According to the report, Katy has contacted the producers who helped make her albums “Teenage Dream” and “Prism” hits… including Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Stargate and many more.
Because Katy is going back to Dr. Luke for her new songs – Kesha’s fans are angry and are dragging her for the decision… calling it a betrayal. And Kesha seems to agree. Kesha herself has even acknowledged the news – on X (Previously Known as Twitter) and simply writing “lol” without any context.
What happened between Kesha and Dr. Luke?
For several years, Luke has been embroiled in several legal battles with pop chart-topper, Kesha. The singer accused her former producer and the man who signed her and shaped her career of sexual assault, among other things. Luke then sued Kesha for defamation.
The lawsuit went on for several years, with both sides scoring some wins… but also a lot of bad news. Last summer, the two agreed to settle their case and move on, but no definitive results have been shared with the public.
After Kesha’s allegations surfaced, several other pop singers who have worked with Luke also reacted and admitted that they thought the producer was not a very nice person. Stars like Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, and Lady Gaga immediately supported Kesha.
