Jonathan Bailey to return as Anthony Bridgerton for season 4 of hit Netflix series

Bridgerton will see the family’s eldest’s return in the upcoming fourth season. Hot on the heels of Yerin Ha’s long-awaited casting announcement as Sophie Beckett, Jonathan Bailey confirmed to Good Morning America that he would be reprising his role as Viscount Anthony Bridgerton.

Bailey explained that he found a few weeks to return to the series and is looking forward to reading the scripts. He also teased that in terms of where things will go in the upcoming season, Bridgerton will “follow the stories.”

“I have a couple of weeks marked on my calendar to come back,” Jonathan Bailey said of his return. “I’m looking forward to reading the scripts.”

“We’re going to follow the stories,” Jonathan Bailey continued. “The great thing about Bridgerton, which is great, is that there are so many different ways that you can fall in love as a human being, and that’s what this show will explore. Being the oldest brother, I’m going to be there to support the younger ones as we move forward.” Also read – Jenny McCarthy Celebrates Husband Donnie Wahlberg’s Birthday With Shirtless Photos

More on Bridgerton Season 4

With all three seasons already in the books on Netflix and the season 4 love interest announced, the Bridgerton family is expanding. The series, based on Julia Quinn’s 8-book series, follows one Bridgerton sibling in each book on their path to finding love, often in unexpected places in Regency-era England.

Last month, Netflix revealed who Bridgerton Season 4 will focus on: Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson. The Bridgerton Season 3 finale set the stage for Benedict to be the central figure of Season 4 with a tease of that fateful masquerade ball — the party is a central point in An Offer For A Gentleman, the third novel in the book series that tells the love story of Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Beckett.

As for who will play Sophie, according to Variety, the series has found its cast in Yerin Ha. The Halo star will play Sophie Beckett in Season 4. The book follows a Cinderella-esque trope, with an unkind stepmother and stepsister.
