Jon Batiste Praised Beyonce for “CowBoy Carter” her new country music album.
Jon Batiste was one of the many singers (Including Willie Nelson, Linda Martell, Chuck Berry, Dolly Parton, Mylie Cyrus, Post Malone, Nile Rodgers, Rhiannon Giddens, Robert Randolph, Willie Jones, Gray Clark Jr., Brittney Spencer, Reyna Roberts, Shaboozey, Tanner Adell and Tiera Kennedy.) who collaborate with Beyonce to break down the barriers across music genres.
Jon Batiste took on to X (Previously known as Twitter) and posted “This is the moment yall, where we dismantle the genre machine” on Saturday.
Jon Batiste further wrote that he was happy to produce and write with Beyonce and Dion “NO ID” Wilson. Before that, Dion and He were on a creative journey, talking about the state of music and where they could take it. They’ve been having these conversations for years but only recently have some things felt ripe with the power of reality. When He picked up his guitar and notebook to write the song, He trusted God to free his creative mind, as He always does when he is inspired.
Quincy Jones told him, as he also wrote in the forward to his WE ARE album, “It’s up to you to declassify American music!!”, which is what Duke Ellington said to Jones.
Batiste believes that only a few artists of this generation are willing to take the risk.
He further praised Beyonce and considers himself grateful for being able to contribute to her brilliant album and glad that they had finally got to collaborate. Also read – What is the Rumors of Sydney Sweeney starring in a movie with Johnny Depp?
