Jennifer Lawrence found her other half in Cooke Maroney when they met through a close friend. ( Cooke Maroney is an Art gallery director. He has been director of the Gladstone Gallery since 2022 and previously worked at the Gagosian Gallery.)
The couple, who began dating in June 2018, met through a mutual friend, Laura Simpson, and it wasn’t long before things escalated. In the lead-up to their wedding day, Lawrence opened up about how her relationship with Maroney continued to grow.
“He’s the best human being I’ve ever met. He really is, and it’s getting better,” the Silver Linings Playbook star said during an episode of Naked with Catt Sadler in June 2019.
Lawrence opened up about what she loves most about her marriage in a November 2021 interview with Vanity Fair. “I really enjoy going to the grocery store with him,” she said. “I don’t know why, but it just fills me with so much joy. I think it’s probably because it’s a lot like marriage. ‘Okay, we have this list. These are the things we need. Let’s work together and make this happen. ’”
In 2022, Lawrence and Maroney welcomed their first child together. The actress previously confirmed she was pregnant in September 2021 and has walked many red carpets with her baby bump.

In 2021 Lawrence told Vanity Fair that she hopes to protect her child’s privacy as much as possible.
“If I was at a dinner party and someone was like, ‘Oh my God, you’re having a baby,’ I wouldn’t be like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t talk about this. Get off of me, you crazy person! ’” she said. “But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can. I don’t want anyone to feel unwelcome in their presence. “And I feel like it starts with just not including them in that part of my work.”
But Lawrence has spoken about being a mother many times, telling Vogue, “The morning after I gave birth, it was like my whole life started over again,” adding, “I just stared. I fell in love. I fell in love with all the babies that were everywhere.”
In a conversation with Cameron Diaz for Interview magazine last year, Lawrence explained that being a mother helps her “sort out” film projects. Before taking on a new role, she asked, “Is it worth being away from my baby for half the day?”
She added she was Luckily, her husband is the best father in the world, so when she worked, somehow she still felt guilty about leaving her child.
