In Delhi. One of the best cricket commentators in the world now is Harsha Bhogle. In the realm of commentary, he goes by another name. He is well-liked by cricket fans for his commentary due to his unique flair and in-depth understanding of the game. On September 10, 1983, he officially began his career as a pundit. He finished the last 40 years of his commentary career today. Bhogle posted a message on X to describe his journey. He described how his first chance to work as a pundit came about.

On his X account, Harsha Bhogle published an old Doordarshan invitation document. “40 years ago today, my first ODI,” he inscribed underneath it. I can still recall the young man who was searching frantically for a chance. After that, a talented producer from DD-Hyderabad provided him this chance. He raised the curtain the night before the game while wearing a plain T-shirt, and the following day he received two commentary gigs. I got the chance to commentate in two games over the course of the following 14 months (an ODI and a Test). I’ll be thankful for this forever.

Harsha Bhogle had earlier received 350 rupees for commentator duty and this ODI match was played between India and Pakistan on September 10, 1983. Fans congratulate him on completing 40 years of his commentator career.
