In the How to Train Your Dragon live-action adaptation Gerard Butler will be playing the role of Stoick.
Famous Franchise How to Train Your Dragon will be coming in a live-action mode. Gerard Butler who voiced the Main character Hiccup’s dad Stoick will be playing the role of the same character according to the report received by Deadline.
The movie will be set to release on 13th June 2025.

The movie will be directed by Dean Debrois and Chris Sanders both of them had previously directed the animated version of How to Train Your Dragon. The movie is backed by DreamWorks Pictures, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures
The main character Hiccups will be played by Mason Thames and Astrid by Nico Parker according to IMDB. In the animated movie, it was Jay Baruchel (41) who gave voice to Hiccup and America Ferrera (39) who gave voice to Astrid. Butler previously played fantastic roles in movies like 300, and Olympus Has Fallen which are well praised by fans, and the news of Butler as Stoick had made fans excited.
