George Clooney Played the role of Batman in 1997

George Clooney made a surprise cameo in “The Flash,” appearing briefly as Batman’s alter ego, Bruce Wayne. It was retaliation, Clooney says, that won’t happen again.

Explaining his decision to appear in the DC movie, Clooney joked that there was great interest in his return. “Well, I thought there was a lot of clamor for him to come back as Batman, as you know,” he told. “I actually said, ‘Where are my rubber nipples?’ And they said, ‘Can we do it without the rubber nipples?'”

“I thought, ‘Well, he’s not really my Batman, is he?'”

Will George Clooney again play the role of Batman?

When asked if he would ever fully reprise the role, Clooney insisted that his superhero days were behind him. “I don’t think there are enough drugs in the world to go back,” he joked.

Clooney played the hero in the 1997 film “Batman & Robin,” opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Mr. Freeze. The Warner Bros. film was ridiculed by critics. Clooney is well aware of the film’s reputation and frequently jokes about it when he talks about the role. In 2019, Clooney said he actually warned his friend Ben Affleck not to take the job on the 2016 film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Two years ago, George Clooney admitted that he had not been asked to reprise his role in “The Flash,” which shows the same superheroes teaming up in the multiverse. “They didn’t ask me,” he previously told Variety. “When you destroy a franchise like I did, they usually look the other way.”

He also told the outlet that his wife, Amal, cannot watch the film. “There are certain movies where I just say, ‘I want my wife to respect me,'” Clooney joked.
