Elton John eye infection is leaving him with limited vision in one eye

Elton John has revealed that he is recovering after suffering a “serious eye infection.”

On Tuesday, the rock ‘n’ roll legend, 77, shared in an Instagram post that he has been dealing with a serious eye infection which has left him with limited vision in one eye.

He added that he is recovering but it is a slow process and it will be some time before he regains sight in the affected eye.

He went on to thank his “excellent team” of medical staff, as well as his family, for caring for him “over the past few weeks.”

He further added that he has been spending the summer recovering quietly at home and feels positive about the progress before signing off “with love and gratitude, Elton John.”

Many famous faces like Sandra Lee, Model Linda Evangelista, Pop star Chappell Roan, Carnie Wilson, fashion designer Donatella Versace, Radio host Bob Harris etc. took to the comments section to offer their support to the legendary musician.

Despite his low vision, John is expected to appear on the red carpet at the premiere of his documentary, “Elton John: Never Too Late,” later this week, at the Toronto International Film Festival.
