Johnny McDaid dumped Courteney Cox during therapy sessions.
Courteney Cox, 59, was remembered on the Wednesday, April 24, episode of the “Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver” podcast. “I didn’t know this was going to happen.”
Cox explained that she and McDaid, who have been dating since 2013, sought help with their “boundaries” about what they could and could not accept in their relationship. However, McDaid broke up with Cox “within the first minute” of their session. Courteney Cox said she was “stunned” by his decision because she and McDaid, 47, were engaged at the time.
“I was in so much pain, I don’t even like surprises. And he’s an incredible human being so he wasn’t trying to surprise me,” she thought. “He was in a lot of pain in the relationship. There was a lot that needed to be dealt with and she had to protect herself around her heart.” Also read – Channing Tatum And Jenna Dewan Don’t Hate Each Other Despite Their Divorce Tension
Cox and McDaid get back together again
Instead of being angry about the split, Cox decided to work on herself. Even after being dropped off at the professional’s office, she continued to see the same therapist alone. After focusing on becoming the best version of themselves, Courteney Cox and McDaid took another shot in their relationship.
“I’m very grateful for that breakup because when we got back together, it was a different relationship,” Cox shared. “But also because it taught me how to function in the world—what were the things from my childhood that I needed. Even though they were revered by men. The things I didn’t know how to let go of. .”, I just went within myself and went to a great therapist.
Cox regrets not being stricter with his daughter
Courteney Cox is opening up about her regrets about how to parent her only child, daughter Coco Arquette, now 19, who she shares with her ex-husband David Arquette. Cox was 40 when she gave birth to Coco, who, she shared publicly, was conceived with the help of in vitro fertilization (IVF).
The Friends actress, now 59, said that when she was a younger mother, she wasn’t able to set as many boundaries for her daughter as she does now. Cox said she particularly noted times when she should have trusted her conscience to intervene in her teen daughter’s matters. Cox in talks to join ‘Scream 7’
Courteney Cox may be returning to the “Scream” franchise, as sources tell Variety that she is in talks to reprise the role of Gale Weathers in the seventh film in the slasher series, directed by “Scream” creator and writer Kevin Williamson.
The news comes about two weeks after Neve Campbell announced she was returning as Sidney Prescott
“It’s been almost 30 years since my first script ‘Scream’ was directed by the great Wes Craven,” Williamson wrote on Instagram. I never guessed what form it would take. Or that I will direct the seventh instalment of the franchise. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement, and I can’t wait to take this journey with Neve and the entire ‘Scream’ family as we bring Sidney Prescott back in the next chapter of the ‘Scream’ franchise. Thank you to all the ‘Scream’ fans. You are the gift that keeps on giving.”
