Collin Farrell believes that the rise of Irish actors in the Hollywood industry is not just luck.
Collin Farrell told to ET that he is not surprised at all to see so many actors coming from Emerald Isle and gaining enormous success in the Industry. He also mentions some names like Paul Mescal, Andrew Scott, Barry Keoghan and some of the Oscar Nominees like Liam Neeson, Saoirse Ronan and Cillian Murphy. (Cillian Murphy recently won the Oscar in March and became the first-ever Irish-born actor to win this award for his role in Oppenheimer. Murphy and Farrell had previously worked together in Intermission (2003).
Farrell continues by saying that despite being an island of just 33,000 Sq.miles and a population of about 5 million, it is producing such a quality of talent which is amazing and it may be due to the country having a deep history of storytelling rooted in it. He also points out Keoghan a native of Dubliner who is now rising to frame with major blockbuster movies like THE Eternals and “Saltburn”.
