Colin Jost reveals how he fell in love with Scarlett Johansson
Colin Jost remembers what qualities of her wife, Scarlett Johansson, made him initially fall in love with her. “I think part of the reason I fell in love with her is because she’s a great mom,” the comedian revealed.
Over the weekend, the “Saturday Night Live” cast member spoke to the New York Times about his relationship with his wife, noting that despite being a movie star, she’s also pretty good at doing “normal things”.
“She goes to the supermarket. She’s very good at wearing a hat and she keeps moving,” Jost said. “She can go unnoticed, but she can also do all those everyday things and enjoy them.”
This down-to-earth attitude is attributed to a quality that Jost said he couldn’t resist.

Colin Jost recalled the first time they met in 2013. At the time, Johansson was the show’s first-time host, while Jost, who was only working as a writer at the time, was in his first year on 30 Rock.
“My first year as a writer, I didn’t think, ‘I should probably ask one of the hosts out,'” he told the outlet. “I thought, ‘Will I have a job this year?’”
A few years later, Jost and Johansson met again when she hosted again in 2017.
The Weekend Update host recalled asking Scarlett out after dinner Tuesday night. “I was like, ‘Do you want to go have a drink?’ “Then we had drinks until 4 am and it was great.”
“It wasn’t good for my writing, but it was good for my future marriage,” he joked. You know it, you know it, right?

Scarlett Johansson revealed how she fell in love with Collin Jost
The “Avenger” star has also revealed her reasons for falling in love with Jost, and they also have a lot to do with his character.
“I never realized that it’s really important to me, that I need to be with a compassionate person,” Johansson told Gwyneth Paltrow on “The Goop Podcast” last year. “That’s like a fundamental characteristic that has to be there.”
“I think understanding what those fundamental things are that you need in a partner is imperative for longevity,” the “Fly Me to the Moon” star continued. “Because the rest is difficult and there will be disagreements or ups and downs, or you will work on different things at different times. … But I think identifying those things was a turning point for me.”

Johansson and Jost tied the knot in an intimate ceremony amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which was small and with close family and friends. The Meals on Wheels America Instagram account announced the news on October 29, 2020.
Johansson and Jost kept the news that they were expecting a baby pretty low-key, though the comedian briefly mentioned it during one of his SNL skits earlier. Jost announced the arrival of their baby boy on his Instagram account, writing, “Okay, we had a baby.” …His name is Cosmo.”
During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Johansson joked that she and Jost “just threw together a bunch of letters” to name her son.
“It seemed refreshing, it’s so charming. All our friends liked it,” the Black Widow star said of the name.
Clarkson noted that Johansson’s two children, Rose and Cosmo, are named after flowers.
“They are both flowers,” Johansson said. “Not many people make that connection. Cosmo is a really sweet little flower that comes in different shades of orange and yellow.”
Now Johansson is the mother of two kids her 9-year-old daughter Rosie who she shares with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac and Cosmo with Husband Colin Jost.
