Brad Pitt has won the legal battle with Angelina Jolie.
Brad Pitt has won the latest round in his historic legal battle against his ex Angelina Jolie over a $500 million French vineyard.
Brad Pitt is in court in California and Luxembourg over Chateau Miraval, arguing he should have a controlling interest in the iconic vineyard after Jolie, 48, sold her shares to Yuri Shefler, owner of Russian vodka giant Stoli. Before the wedding, the couple purchased property together, with Pitt owning a 60 percent interest and Jolie owning 40 percent.
They tied the knot at the winery in 2014, and Pitt gifted an additional 10 percent to Jolie as part of their wedding, making it a 50-50 split when they split in 2016, PageSix reports.
Jolie then sold her shares, but Pitt is arguing that their deal was not legal and that he should still retain 60 percent ownership. Also read – Sofia Vergara’s date night with Justin Saliman
The Luxembourg court has ruled that – for now – 10 percent will be returned to Pitt pending a final decision. “Right now, he’s maintaining a 60/40 [split],” the source said, meaning he will “probably retain control for the next year”.
