Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas defends her after Guess lyrics called ‘predatory’
Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas has slammed a TikTok user who criticized Charli XCX’s Guess remix. The critic called Billie Eilish’s lyrics “predatory” and accused her of using queerbaiting for commercial gain, DailyMail reported. This comment did not sit well with the Bad Guy singer’s brother Finneas.
In the song, Billie’s verse goes in the lines, “I wanna try it, bite it, lick it, spit it / Pull it to the side and get all up in it / Kiss it, bite it, can I fit it? / Charli likes boys, but she knows I’d hit it / (Knows I’d hit it) / Charli, call me if you’re with it.”
TikTok user @windows199x wrote: “Billie’s verse on Guess is highly predatory but everyone is blinded by her usual gay-baiting for commercial gain,” adding: “Ever since the Lost Cause controversy she’s been reducing girls to mere objects all to convince the masses that she likes them lol Charli is 32 and engaged fyi.”
Billie Eilish’s brother responds to user
This comment did not escape the attention of Finneas, who came out in support of his sister and responded angrily, calling the critic a “little clown” and expressing his frustration at the continued scrutiny Eilish faces.
“What a comment you little clown. I could watch the entire internet criticizing my sister for gay-baiting for a whole year when in reality everyone was forcing her to label herself and reveal her sexuality.” However, the comment was soon deleted. Charli XCX and Billie Eilish Donate Unused Underwear From Guess Remix Music Video to Domestic Abuse Survivors
Charli XCX and Billie Eilish’s first collaboration sparked a massive frenzy with their Guess remix music video on Thursday, August 1. The newly released single came packed with an eye-catching music video that featured a mountain of women’s underwear, which the artists decided to donate to domestic abuse survivors.
Aware of the consequences of filming the video, Charli, 31, and Eilish, 22, ensured that the massive amount of unused underwear was properly used. I Support the Girls, a nonprofit that focuses on women’s personal hygiene wellness, will handle the enormous underwear donation.
According to the official site, I Support the Girls “collects and distributes essential items including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products, allowing people who are homeless, impoverished, or distressed to stand tall with dignity.”
I Support the Girls acknowledged the singing duo’s contribution to their cause, posting on X (formerly Twitter): “We are so lucky to receive the formidable mountain of panties!”
Founder and CEO Dana Marlowe talked about the “underwear and formidable mountain of bras” in the Guess video and claimed that the donation would benefit thousands of domestic violence survivors. She thanked Charli XCX and Billie Eilish and praised their generosity in “considering” this mountain of donations for the nonprofit.
More on the new “Guess remix”
Charli XCX and Billie Eilish have teamed up for a new version of the Guess bonus song. The song is accompanied by an Aidan Zamiri-directed video, which features plenty of underwear.
Charli first teased the Guess remix earlier this week by posting an explicit photo of herself standing with the guest artist, cropping out their faces.
While she didn’t reveal who the second singer was, netizens were quick to realize it was Billie Eilish based on the rings she was wearing in the image, as she had had the same ones on during her Chicken Shop interview with Amelia Dimoldenberg posted two weeks ago.
