Adele Announces her Break From Music Following End of Las Vegas Residency ‘I Won’t See You For An Incredibly Long Time’
Adele will miss her fans dearly, but she’s ready for a much-needed break from music after her Las Vegas residency ends later this year.
The “Make You Feel My Love” singer wrapped up her residency in Munich on Saturday and at the end of her 10th show in the German city, she told her fans that we won’t be hearing from her after her Weekends With Adele shows conclude in Las Vegas this fall.
“I really really enjoyed performing… it’s been three years now, which is the longest I’ve been doing it and probably the longest I’ll ever do it in my life. But I’ve got 10 shows left after this one, back at my (Las Vegas) residency… but after that, I won’t see you for an incredibly long time and I’ll carry you in my heart for all that time off,” the 36-year-old singer said of her planned extended hiatus.
“And I will fantasize about these shows and any show that I’ve done in the last three years, and I will hold them in the back of my heart forever. It’s been amazing,” Adele said via a TikTok video filmed at the concert. “I just need a break.”
Since November 2022, Adele has been performing her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace.
She initially announced this residency in 2021, only to shock and disappoint fans months later by postponing the tour altogether. In an emotional video, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer told her followers that the calibre of her show wasn’t up to par and that she and her team wouldn’t be ready to go on time.
