Netflix’s ‘Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft’ Trailer Is Now Available
Lara Croft is back. In the new trailer for Netflix’s animated series “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft,” Hayley Atwell lends her voice to the iconic archaeologist in a new adventure set in the universe of the video game franchise. There’s plenty of action in the trailer with Lara in some explosive situations, including a plunge into the ocean, which begs the question “How much longer can you persevere?”
The original video game of Tom Raider was released in 1996 for Sega Saturn developed by Aspyr and Core Design. The video game sold more than 2.5 million units till 1997.
This comes after Netflix’s anime adaptation of James Cameron’s “Terminator” franchise, “Terminator Zero” (premiering Aug. 29), from Japanese animation studio Production I.G, Skydance, and showrunner Mattson Tomlin.
Plot
The series picks up from the events of the Survivor video game trilogy (Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider) and finds Lara abandoning her friends to embark on increasingly dangerous solo adventures. However, Lara (voiced by Hayley Atwell) must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artefact is stolen from Croft Manor by a thief with a strangely personal connection.
Her quest will take her on a dangerous adventure around the world and depth into mysterious forgotten tombs, where she will face new challenges and evolve into more stronger person than she was before. Also read – KAOS Netflix: Jeff Goldblum’s Zeus Shows Off His Cruelty in New Trailer
