Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Feud Rumors Fueled by New Witness
Rumours of a feud between It Ends With Us co-stars Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have been circulating for a while now. They did not interact at the premiere of their newly released film and neither did they promote it together anywhere. Baldoni, who directed It Ends With Us, hinted at his intentions not to return for a sequel. Recently, a new eyewitness video suggested that the two had argued between takes on the sets.
According to People magazine, the trouble brewing behind the scenes of It Ends With Us goes beyond the alleged creative differences between the film’s director, Justin Baldoni, and star, Blake Lively. Also read – Miley Cyrus apologizes to Mickey Mouse for her “Malfunction” era
New Video of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni ‘arguing’ surface
In a recent eyewitness video, the co-stars were seen outside the New Jersey restaurant in a heated encounter. Blake Lively was seen waving her hands in front of Baldoni while talking to him between takes and then walking away from him.
The latter appeared in front of her again and waved his hands in front of her while responding to what Blake Lively had said earlier. He ended the conversation with an ‘ok’ and walked away from the conversation. The video of their argument was originally posted on Instagram by the eyewitness who claimed that the two stars were “arguing.”
As reported by TMZ, the two Stars were not involved in an argument. A source from the set who was present that day confirmed the same. An eyewitness who was not part of the crew said that Lively frequented the area often and “rarely seemed emotional.” However, this could be due to the theme of domestic violence in the adaptation of Collen Hoover’s book of the same name.
It Ends With Us opened to a solid $50 million at the domestic box office over the weekend, with Lively playing Lily Bloom, a florist who falls in love with a neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni), and a toxic relationship forms. The cast also includes Hasan Minhaj, Jenny Slate, Brandon Sklenar, Isabela Ferrer, Alex Neustaedter, and more. Also read – Vince Vaughn makes rare appearance at Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony
There has been no talk of a second film yet.
Justin Baldoni spoke to Entertainment Tonight at the film’s premiere and was asked about returning to do double duty in a potential sequel. He shot down the idea, much to the interviewer’s surprise.
“I think there are better people for that ‘one-take series,'” Baldoni said. “I think Blake Lively is ready to direct. That’s what I think.”
Reports of Baldoni’s alleged behaviour surfaced on August 9, when the Daily Mail published an article claiming that Baldoni was “sexist” and “borderline abusive” on the set of It Ends with Us. The same day, Page Six reported that Baldoni created an “extremely difficult” atmosphere behind the scenes for the entire cast.
