Christina Hall Calls Ex-Josh ‘An Insecure Man’ Amid Divorce
Christina Hall was referred to as “an insecure man with a big ego” a day after her ex-husband Josh Hall took to social media again after filing for divorce.
While Josh’s post was a photo of him walking through the woods and a praying hands emoji as the caption, Christina Hall spoke out in a lengthy statement.
In which she had criticized Hall by saying that now we will expect a divorce speech from him made by a hired PR rep. In that speech, he will say how he was blindsided and how he is now working on himself and taking time to heal at her ranch. Meanwhile, Christina Hall also said that she is over it but not as nice and quiet as she used to be.
She further said how she had worked hard to make the life she is in now for her children and herself and if anyone tries to take this what they don’t deserve or what they didn’t work for should be ashamed of themself. Christina then describes Hall as a man with a Big Ego who tries to derail her but she will rise.
The HGTV star ended her post by referencing the topic of divorce.
“For those who don’t know… divorces don’t happen overnight… and there’s always a breaking point. This one is personal…” she wrote.
Documents obtained show that Josh filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” on Monday, July 15, after nearly three years of marriage. He also requested spousal support. The couple secretly tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony in October 2021 and then held another ceremony in Hawaii to celebrate their nuptials in September 2022. Their “separation date” was listed as July 8, 2024, in the filing.
After news of the divorce broke, a source told ET that the couple “had been having issues in the marriage for quite some time.”
Christina Hall’s first marriage was to her former Flip or Flop co-star Tarek El Moussa, with whom she has a daughter, Taylor, 13, and a son, Brayden, 8. Her second marriage was to Celebrity IOU: Joyride host Ant Anstead, with whom she has a son, Hudson, 4.
Earlier this week, multiple sources confirmed to ET that Christina Hall was back to film The Flip Off, a show in which Christina and Josh were set to compete in makeover contests against El Moussa and his new wife, Selling Sunset alum Heather Rae El Moussa, without him. Tarek has also publicly expressed his support for his ex-wife in an interview.
Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa aren’t freaked out by castmates Christina Hall and Josh Hall’s divorce.
The HGTV couple, who recently announced they will be taking on Christina and Josh on their new competition show The Flip Off, confirmed that the series will continue despite their castmates’ breakup.
However, as Heather noted in an exclusive E! News video, the show will now be just “us versus her.”
“But we support her,” Tarek shared of their off-camera dynamic, and her husband said he’s confident Christina will “get through this” challenging chapter in her personal life.
“Life is hard, things happen,” continued Tarek, who was married to Christina from 2009 to 2018. “We get one shot at life and we need to do what’s best for us, so whatever she needs, we’re here to help.”
Tarek and Christina have developed a friendly relationship over the past few years, as they co-parent children Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8. In fact, Heather even sides with Christina over Tarek on occasion.
Christina Hall accuses ex-Josh Hall of siphoning off over $35,000 amid divorce
Christina Hall, who cited July 7 as the date of separation in her divorce papers, alleged that Josh had contacted her property manager on July 8 to request that rental income in Tennessee be diverted to his personal account.
The property manager complied with the request believing that Christina had authorized the change of accounts the 41-year-old wrote in a signed statement, noting that her ex’s request was not accurate as she had no personal contact with Josh on July 8, 2024.
She continued, “I would not have asked him to send me my money the day after I told him we were getting a divorce.”
The Christina on the Coast star also discards the statement that she and Josh broke up on July 8, the separation date he listed in his divorce filing.
“Frankly, I am shocked and concerned by the fact that he diverted over $35,000 of my separate property money into his separate account on July 8, 2024,” Christina wrote. “The fact that this is the same date he is now alleging to be their separation date, even though the actual date is 7th July 2024.”
