The Joker 2 trailer is out – Which also hints at Batman’s famous Villan Two-Face Entry
After teasing us with sizzling chemistry in the upcoming movie, Joker 2, Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix are back and this time with a full trailer. The creators have released the first official trailer for Joker 2 also known as Joker: Folie A Deux, and it is as chaotic as we expected it to be.
Joker 2 is titled Joker: Folie A Deux and brings Joaquin back as Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn on screen for the first time in the crazy psychopathic character. The film will primarily take place in Arkham Asylum, where the two meet.
Joker: Folie A Deux is the sequel to the 2019 Warner Bros. and DC film Joker. This marks the first time Joaquin and Gaga will work together.
The Cast of Joker 2
Todd Phillips returns as director of Joker: Folie a Deux (Joker 2). He co-wrote the script with Scott Silver and produced the film with Bradley Cooper.
Joaquin Phoenix reprises his role as the Joker, Batman’s archenemy, and Lady Gaga will join him to play Harley Quinn, who will supposedly be called “Lee” in this film. Zazie Beetz will reprise her role as Sophie Dumond. Sharon Washington and Leigh Gill will also reprise their roles from the first film as Arthur’s social worker and Arthur’s co-worker Gary, respectively.
Brendan Gleeson will be the prison guard at Arkham Asylum. Oscar-nominated actress Catherine Keener also joined the project in a key role. What does the new trailer for Joker: Foile Á Deux reveal?
The title “Folie à Deux” refers to a psychiatric syndrome in which delusional beliefs or hallucinations are transmitted from one individual to another. This suggests that the film will explore the relationship between the Joker and Harley, who shares his mental illness, which is appropriate given that the two have a notoriously intense and dysfunctional relationship.
The highlight of the new trailer is that it shows how Arthur’s trial will be a crucial part of the plot of Joker: Folie à Deux. Following rumours that the character would make his Elseworlds debut in the Joker universe, the new footage also confirms that iconic Batman villain Harvey Dent also known as Two-Face will be introduced in this film. With subtitles for the Joker: Folie à Deux trailer, Harvey is the one who appears as the third voice speaking off-screen, saying, “They think Arthur Fleck is some kind of martyr. Well, he’s not.”
The trailer also highlights more of Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn, with the story exploring how she believes she has found a kindred spirit in Arthur Fleck. As Fleck begins to become a bigger symbol in Gotham City, it’s clear that Harley will be instrumental in him finding more courage, as the citizens begin to fight for him. Based on the latest information we learned about her in the trailer, Joker: Folie à Deux is taking a lot of creative liberties with Harley’s comedic roots.
Joker 2 is not part of other DC movies
Joker 2 is not part of other DC film franchises, such as the upcoming “The Batman Part II” and “Superman”. Additionally, Lady Gaga’s character will look nothing like Margot Robbie’s character. Margot had played Harley Quinn in “Birds of Prey” and “The Suicide Squad”.

Joker: Folie A Deux will be released on October 4, 2024.
