Stree 2 brings back Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor to the horror comedy universe. The trailer of Stree 2 starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor and Abhishek Banerjee has just been released and it is going to be an exciting and adventurous ride. The horror comedy sequel picks up right where the first left off in 2018, with the town of Chanderi being haunted by the ghost of Stree.

Stree 1 was released in theatres worldwide on August 31, 2018, and received positive reviews. The film grossed over Rs 180 crore at the box office on a budget of Rs 23 to 25 crore, becoming a box office hit. The film received ten nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards and won the Best Debut Director award for Kaushik.

Synopsis of Stree 2

The trailer begins with Pankaj Tripathi’s character Rudra Bhaiya introducing the new threat to the people of Chanderi, ‘Sarkata’ (headless monster). To protect them from their terror, arrives Shraddha Kapoor, who was presumably the evil spirit from the film’s prequel. Chanderi people pray to Stree this time, “O stree raksha karna”, instead of saying “O stree kal aana”.

To safeguard everyone from his reign of terror, Shraddha Kapoor who plays the role of stree (anonymous girl ghost) emerges, presumably having assumed the role of the spirit in the previous instalment of the film. Also read – Rob Peace Movie Trailer is out – Everything you need to know
