Kym Marsh responds to trolls attacking her for dating her 29-year-old co-star
Kym Marsh and her new partner Samuel Thomas have defended their relationship after facing criticism online as reported by The Sun. The former Coronation Street actress, 48, posted a photo on Instagram of herself sharing a kiss with her 101 Dalmatians the Musical co-star Samuel Thomas.
The Corrie star, who split from her third husband 13 months ago, uploaded a photo of her and Thomas kissing in a photo booth, calling him “the most incredible man who has ever lived.”
In the caption of the post, Kym Marsh wrote: “I met the most amazing man who ever lived! Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times. @samuelthomasuk I love you #beautiful #soulmate #loveyou.”
Kym and Samuel, 29, are currently starring in the UK and Ireland tour of the hit musical 101 Dalmatians. In the production, Kym takes on the role of Cruella de Vil, while Samuel plays Tom Dearly.
After her sweet posts, the Morning Live host received an avalanche of negative comments comparing her new boyfriend to her eldest son, David, who is also 29 years old.
One said: “Jesus… Another amazing man… five-minute wonder… looks like your son.”
To the cruel comment, she responded: “Do one.”
After the message, fans came to Kym Marsh’s defence, writing, “It’s time to grow up and move on with your own life instead of hating someone else’s life.”
“I wonder what is missing in your life that you need to comment on others. Really sad,” wrote another.

Kym Marsh Relationship Timeline
Marsh has a son called David (born 1995) and a daughter called Emilie (born 1997) from a relationship with Dave Cunliffe. She has been married three times and has three children. She married actor Jack Ryder in St Albans, Hertfordshire, on 10 August 2002.
However, on 20 March 2008, it was announced that the couple had decided to separate and would seek a divorce, and they announced their divorce on 12 August 2009. The reason for the separation after the actress admitted to having cheated on Jack with fellow soap star Jamie Lomas, who plays Warren Fox in Hollyoaks.
In July 2008, Kym Marsh began dating actor Jamie Lomas. They married in Cheshire in September 2012. She and Lomas announced they were expecting a baby in 2009.
Her son, Archie, was born 18 weeks early, on February 11, and died moments after being born. Their relationship became strained when they lost their son Archie, but they resolved their issues and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Polly, in March 2011. In April 2012, Kym was left stunned after Jamie was photographed in bed with another woman after a night out in Leeds. Just three months later it was reported that they had temporarily separated and the family home was put up for sale.
The couple then appeared to have resolved their differences and tied the knot in September 2012. But just a year after tying the knot, rumours emerged that Kym, 37, had been having a five-month affair with Corrie co-star Oliver Mellor, 32. An accusation she denies.
The alleged affair was said to have occurred earlier that year while Jamie was in the US looking for work. It is unclear whether it continued after Jamie landed the role of unfaithful alcoholic ex-husband Jake in the hit BBC soap EastEnders.
In October, Kym called the police after Jamie allegedly went into a drunken rage after discovering allegations that his wife had cheated on him. Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas separated in 2013 and divorced a year later.
Kym Marsh met her third husband, military man Scott, in 2018 and in 2021 the couple got engaged.
They then tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2021, with a star-studded guest list, as well as friends and family. However, the couple separated because they could not spend much time together due to their work, resulting in a divorce in 2023.
