Travis Kelce seems excited during Taylor Swift’s Amsterdam Mashup
Travis Kelce seems to be excited about Taylor Swift’s latest nod at him during her Eras show!
The Kansas City Chiefs player, 34, seemed moved as he watched Swift, 34, perform a combined performance of “So High School,” “Mary’s Song,” and “Everything Has Changed” at her latest show in Amsterdam on Saturday, July 6 at the Johan Cruijff Arena, he was even seen wiping his face several times during the performance.
In a video posted by a fan account on X, Travis Kelce can be seen filming his girl performance before swaying slowly to Taylor’s Mashup.
At one point, as Swift sang the sweet lyrics to “Everything Has Changed”: “‘Cause all I know is that we said ‘Hello’/And your eyes seem to come home/All I know is a simple name/And everything has changed.” he looked close to her, wiping his face and eyes. Travis Kelce then put his hands to his head before continuing to watch Swift perform the combination.
Seconds later, Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, who also attended the singer’s final concert in Amsterdam with her husband, approached Kelce and appeared to check on him as he wiped her face and eyes. . . . . One more time.
However, the “New Heights” podcast co-host was all smiles at the end of the mashup.
He was seen cheering when Swift sang, “I’ll be 87, you’ll be 89 / I’ll still look at you like the stars that shine / In the sky, oh my God,” Kelce cheered with his arms raised. He was on top of his head again as the fans in the arena cheered loudly.
The lyrics to “Mary’s Song” have taken on new meaning since the singer and Kelce have been dating, as his team jersey number is 87 and Kelce and Swift’s birth year is 1989 (Singer’s 2014 album, which the band also titled 1989).
And of course, “So High School” is believed to be about Swift’s relationship with the tight end, meaning the mix itself seemed to be a nod to her boyfriend.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce celebrate their one-year anniversary this month.
The couple met after the soccer player unsuccessfully tried to give the Grammy winner a friendship bracelet with his phone number while he attended her concert in Kansas City, Missouri, in July of 2023.
Kelce has since attended numerous Eras Tour dates, while Swift was a regular in the crowd at Chiefs games last season, including the team’s victorious Super Bowl LVIII.
