Christina Applegate is hooked on “Love Island”
Reality TV connoisseur Christina Applegate has some advice for attractive twenty-somethings trying to make a couple on Love Island. On Wednesday, the Dead to Me star took to social media to air some complaints about the show she holds close to her heart.
“I have a problem with the production and the contestants,” Applegate wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Could you stop making strange sounds with your water bottles? like holding a straw in your mouth and chewing it and not soaking it. Or girls with long nails that make noises.
“White deodorant on your armpits when it’s hot is disgusting,” she added in another post. “Now you are all very attractive people, please wear clear deodorant!!! The white cat that looks like shit in the folds is not good. It’s just me helping you be the best version of you. Ha ha.”
Christina Applegate’s complaints were met with agreement, including one fan who wrote: “I hate when it curdles. Remember something too graphic to share. “I really can’t even write it.” The actor had no qualms about jumping into the fray: “Well, I’ll tell you. The dating show features a different group of men and women each season and chronicles their lives in isolation and their quest to find love. Although the original series takes place in Mallorca, Spain, the latest season of “Love Island USA” was filmed in sunny Fiji.
Christina Applegate revealed earlier this year that she started watching the show in 2021 after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and she said she must have watched “300 hours of reality TV” since then. The actor indeed has an obsessive love for the genre.
Not only did she share that she became friends with some of the “Below Deck” cast members, but she also said that she turned down the opportunity to join “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” about “10 years ago.” . . . . . . . . . . . . Always humble and funny, Applegate joked that it was the best.
“She would be the worst housewife anyway,” she said at the time.
