Heart’s Ann Wilson reveals cancer diagnosis

Heart’s Ann Wilson has revealed that she is battling cancer and the band has postponed their Royal Flush tour to give her time to recover.

“I recently underwent surgery to remove something that turned out to be cancerous,” Ann Wilson shared in a statement shared on Instagram on Tuesday.

“The operation was a success and I feel very well, but now my doctors recommend that I undergo preventive chemotherapy treatment and I have decided to do so.”

“And that’s why my doctors are telling me to take the rest of the year off the stage so I can fully recover,” she added that the North American tour will be postponed until next year. Also read – Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will open the Venice Film Festival with its world premiere

What happened to the fans who had already bought the ticket?

In May, Heart announced that they would postpone the European leg of their Royal Flush tour to allow Wilson to have what they called “an urgent but routine medical procedure.”

With the latest announcement, they have postponed the rest of the tour.

“To ticket buyers, I wish we could do these concerts,” Wilson wrote. “Please know I plan to return to the stage in 2025.”

“Thank you all for the support. This is just a pause. I have much more to sing,” she concluded, adding that she would not make any more public statements on the subject.

In a separate post, Heart encouraged fans to hold on to their tickets, which will be valid for future rescheduled dates.
