Inside Out 2 Crosses $1 Billion at the Global Box Office Making ‘History’
Disney and Pixar’s long-awaited sequel, Inside Out 2, has taken the world by storm, rewriting the record books for animated films. In a stunning feat, the film has become the fastest animated film to ever reach the coveted $1 billion mark at the global box office, reaching the milestone in less than three weeks.
Barbie, which hits theatres in July 2023, was the latest film to reach $1 billion at the global box office.
In the field of animated cinema, “Inside Out 2” has reached a milestone that surpasses the previous record, “Frozen 2” from the same studio, which took 25 days to reach the same benchmark.
According to The Walt Disney Company, this makes Inside Out 2 the fastest animated film to ever reach $1 billion. In North America, the film reached $469.3 million, while internationally it earned $545.5 million.
Passing $1 billion means that Inside Out 2 is now one of only 11 animated titles to do so. It also surpassed the overall gross of its predecessor, 2015’s Inside Out, which earned $859 million worldwide. Also read – Rick Ross and his crew were allegedly attacked by Drake’s “Supporters”

Reacting to the achievement, Disney’s executive vice president of theatrical distribution, Tony Chambers, earlier issued a press release on Sunday. “We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved this phenomenal milestone in record time, and it proves once again that global audiences are in for a great movie,” said Tony.
