‘General Hospital’ actor Johnny Wactor shot to death
Johnny Wactor, an actor best known for his role in the famous Hospital Drama series “General Hospital” as Brando Corbin was shot and killed during an alleged attempted theft of a catalytic converter in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday morning. He was 37 years old.
According to TMZ, which cited Johnny Wactor’s mother and police, the 37-year-old actor was shot Saturday morning in downtown Los Angeles after he and one of his friends witnessed three unknown suspects trying to steal the Catalytic converter from Wactor’s car.

Johnny Wactor’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, told TMZ that the actor did not fight back when he confronted the suspects, but he was still shot. Meanwhile, the three fled the scene;
Details of the suspects are being kept secret. So far, no arrests have been made. According to a Los Angeles police report, a man was fatally shot around 3:00 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Hope Street. The victim is believed to have interrupted a robbery in progress, as three suspects were attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car. Johnny Wactor’s career
Wactor played Brando, son of Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), who was married to drug addict Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), in the ABC soap opera from 2020 to 2022. He appeared in more than 160 episodes.
Wactor made his television debut in the Lifetime drama series “Army Wives,” in which he appeared as a guest in various roles between 2007 and 2009. He also appeared as a guest in the series – Westworld, The OA, Station 19, Siberia, Agent X, Animal Kingdom, Vantastic, Criminal Minds, Age Appropriate, NCIS, Training Days, Hollywood Girl, Barbee Rehab and The Passenger”.
After his stint on “Army Wives,” Wactor worked on several short films starting in 2010, including The Grass Is Never Greener, The Con-Artist, GoldenBox, Flyover States, A Most Suitable Requester, Anything for You Abby, The Interrogation, We Will Not Forget, and The Relic and are some of the short films he had worked in. Wactor starred and wrote the 2022 short “Broken Riders”.
Johnny Wactor also appeared in several feature films, most notably 2016’s “USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage,” directed by Mario Van Peebles and starring Nicolas Cage, Thomas Jane and Tom Sizemore. His additional film credits include Menthol, Trapper’s Edge, Ever, Supercell and Dead Talk Tales: Volume I.
