Wednesday Season 2 Full Cast Announced
Get ready to go back to Nevermore Academy because ‘Wednesday Season 2’ has started production and will be on our screens before you know it. Filming has moved to Ireland for this season, moving from the primary shooting location of Romania in the first season. The comedy fantasy series, starring Jenna Ortega as the fearless Wednesday Addams, has officially gone on floors after a long wait.
“Wednesday” season 2 is officially in production in Ireland, with Netflix revealing the full cast for the new season of the hit series.
Jenna Ortega will of course return as Wednesday Addams, while Catherine Zeta-Jones, Isaac Ordonez, Luis Guzman, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo will all be promoted to series regulars for Season 2. Ordonez plays Pugsley, while Zeta-Jones plays Morticia, and Guzmán plays Gomez. Emma Myers, Moses Mustafa, Joey Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantou, and Georgie Farmer will also return, with Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane making guest appearances.
However, three cast members from the first season will not reprise their roles: Jamie McShane, Percy Hynes White, and Naomi J. Ogawa.
Other new members of the series include Owen Painter, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, and Noah Taylor. Additionally, Netflix has officially announced that Steve Buscemi will be joining the cast as a new series regular, while Thandiwe Newton is set to guest star in the upcoming season. Netflix has also revealed the guest star line-up, which includes Christopher Lloyd, Frances O’Connor, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Joonas Suotamo. “Wednesday” originally debuted in November 2022 and immediately became a huge hit for Netflix. It is one of the most watched shows ever released by the streamer and was nominated for 12 Emmys, winning four. Work on Wednesday Season 2 was delayed due to the closure of most of Hollywood due to a writers’ and actors’ strike in 2023.
Gough and Miller also serve as executive producers on the series in addition to writing and co-starring. Tim Burton serves as a director and is also an executive producer of the series.
Ortega is a producer for Wednesday season 2. Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson will also direct episodes of this season. MGM is a television studio.
