C J Snare the Lead singer of “FireHouse” passed away at the age of 64

FireHouse shared the news of C J Snare’s passing on 7th April on their official Facebook Page – “Today is a sad day for Rock N Roll, It is with great sorrow we are letting the world know that we had lost our brother – CJ Snare, the rock and roll warrior, lead vocalist and also the founding member of FireHouse”  Snare was expected to return to the touring this summer following his abdominal surgery which takes place in September,

Firehouse end the statement with condolences “to the entire Snare family, friends, Katerine Little and our beloved fans all over the world.  ‘Reach for the Sky’ CJ! You will be forever missed by family, friends, fans and your bandmates. You’re singing with the angels now.”

What was the cause of C J Snare’s passing?

C J Snare’s daughter Heather had told TMZ that her father had passed away this Friday afternoon due to cardiac arrest.

Snare was Previously diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2020 and for that, in 2023 he took some time off from the band, due to abdominal surgery. An Instagram post on 27th September 2023 revealed the news of Abdominal surgery to fans and apologized for rescheduled show dates. He posted another post on 20th October saying that the surgery was done and now he had to take some more time off for recovery before getting back on the stage. C J Snare had 3 children one daughter (Heather who is following in her dad’s footsteps and is a talented singer just like her dad.) and two sons (Connor and Hunter), Snare is considered a person who loves spending time with his family during holidays.

He was in a relationship with Katherine Little for eight years after divorcing his first wife Brenda Snare.

After his death, Katherine Little posted a heartfelt message reflecting on their relationship “8+ wonderful years with this man”

“It is with a heavy heart that I write this and it’s extremely difficult to find the right words. CJ left this world on Friday, April 5th. I’ve had 8 plus wonderful years with this man and I love him to his core.”

How FireHouse band formed?

FireHouse band was formed in 1984 and is quite famous in Asia mainly in Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, India, and Philippines, they are also popular in South America and Europe. It is estimated that FireHouse has sold over 7 million albums worldwide since its debut. The original members of FireHouse were C J Snare Snare (Vocalist/keyboardist), Bill Leverty (Guitarist), Michael Foster (Drummer) and Perry Richardson (Bassist), expect Richardson who left the band in 2000 due to personal conflict the band maintained its original members till now, In present only Leverty and Foster are the original members remain after the death of snare.

In 1984 Leverty was in search of a drummer for his band White Heat and after 20 auditions he met Michael Foster, who showcased his amazing drumming skills and got hired immediately. Leverty and Foster once visited a rock club where they caught the sight of a band named Maxx Warriors in which C. J . Snare as a vocalist and Perry Richardson as a bassist was performing, they were amazed by Snare’s voice and when the Maxx Warriors band broke, Leverty sends Snare and Richardson invitation to join his band. Snare joined the band but Richardson was in a 6 months commitment to another band so the joined the FireHouse after 6 months.

FireHouse became popular in the 1990s with singles like

Firehouse won the America Music Awards for Favorite New Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Artist in 1992.
