Sam Hunt is back with new music, “Locked Up Ep”
On Friday, April 5, just days after Sam Hunt released his new Locked Up EP, he performed at the 2024 CMT Music Awards. Hunt took the stage to play the project’s title track, “Locked Up” at The Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
Although Hunt is not among this year’s nominees at the CMT Awards, he has been nominated a total of nine times and previously won the Breakthrough Video of the Year trophy for his hit 2014 single “Leave the Night On”.
On Friday, Hunt performed in Greensboro, North Carolina, before flying to Austin for the awards ceremony with his wife.
Sam Hunt and his wife, Hannah Lee Fowler, link up on the red carpet ahead of the awards show, during which Hunt is set to perform. As they stood holding each other’s hands, both smiled lightly. Hunt and Fowler have been together since 2008 but have experienced a lot of ups and downs over the years.
They got married in April 2017 after news of their engagement broke in January. in February 2022, Fowler filed for divorce from Hunt, citing “adultery” and “inappropriate marital conduct” on Hunt’s part. Hunt never addressed the charges and Fowler ultimately requested that his petition be dismissed.
After the couple’s reconciliation, in June 2022 Sam Hunt announced the arrival of their daughter, Lucy, and their son, Lorwy, in November 2023.
