Toy Story 5 – Casts, Possible Plot, Release Date and many more
Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation are preparing to bring audiences back into the world of toys. The studio has announced that Toy Story 5 is the long-awaited next instalment of the Toy Story franchise and will be arriving soon. The last instalment of the animated film franchise arrived in 2019 and grossed over $1.073 billion worldwide, including a domestic total of $434 million and $639.4 million overseas.
Disney has not yet shared many details about the upcoming film, such as who among the voice cast will reprise their roles, except for the fact that Tim Allen (the voice behind Buzz Lightyear) has confirmed that he will return. The involvement of Tom Hanks (the voice behind Woody) has not been officially stated, although he is indelibly linked to the character through the other four films, so it would be shocking if Hanks was replaced at this point. What will be the possible story of Toy Story 5?
At the end of the last film, Toy Story 4, Woody and Buzz go their separate ways. While Woody stays with Bo Peep and the Lost Toys, Buzz and the others are joined by their new owner, Bonnie. The story could start from there, focusing entirely on Buzz and Bonnie’s toys, Woody’s cameo, or something else. The plot has not been revealed yet, so there is not much information on that front.
When will Toy Story 5 be released?
Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the release dates of some of its movies, including the fifth instalment of the Toy Story franchise, reports ComicBook. According to media outlet reports, it will be released on the big screen on June 19, 2026.
