A Hanuman temple and Mosque were demolished by PWD to pave way for flyover
New Delhi: A Hanuman temple and mosque were demolished by the PWD (Public works department) on Sunday morning.
Police said that The temple and mosque were demolished to pave way for the construction of flyover and to prevent any riots to occur heavy police deployment were done.
Police said that the demolition decision was taken a few days ago at a religious committee which was held with the residents and locals. But the local leaders had asked them to give some time to carry out necessary rituals and to make necessary arrangement.
They further added that today morning before carrying out the demolition they had proper dialogue with both the communities, PWD is provided will all the necessary assistance from the police.
